The Brave Attempt of Chopard, Grand Prix de Monaco Historique Chronograph
Built in 1860, the 150 years old watch brand Chopard is exhibiting to the public its bold try, the Grand Prix de Monaco Historique Chronograph. This is an astonishing watch that unites esthetics with pioneering technique. This series merges pioneering bold artistic conception with remarkable timekeeping function.
The series is called after the Grand Prix de Monaco Historique vintage vehicle race (a competition that is supported by vintage vehicle lovers each two years, which appeals over 200 vintage vehicles from particularly America, Britain, Germany, France and Italy, including many famous brands like Bugatti, Delage and Alfa Romeo etc). As a partner of that competition, Chopard particularly fashioned a watch series, the Grand Prix de Monaco Historique Chronograph series.
Esthetically, Grand Prix de Monaco Historique Chronograph features bold design. The watch case is measured in 42.5mm, with a thickness of 14.9mm. Made of refined stainless steel or 18k rose gold, the watch case is carved with the marks of GPMH and Automobile Club de Monaco at the bottom. With the distinguishable silver color, the dail possesses black, orange or blue marking circle. This is well matched with the blue, silver or orange marking circle in the bezel. Collocated with real leather or refined stainless steel strap, the whole timepiece demonstrates a marvellous presence.
Technically, Grand Prix de Monaco Historique Chronograph is equipped with impressive functions. Driven by a mechanical self-winding mechanism, the watch could reserve power to 48 hours. It has obtained the COSC certification. It displays the hour, minute, and date all in the main dial. The second hand showcase is at 9 and the 30 minutes dial below 12 and the 12 hours timekeeping dial at 3. The markings and pointers are all coated with superluminova, which enables them to be clearly seen even at the dark night. It is very powerful and advanced.
With the above description, you could grasp a general idea of how fearless the watch is. But if you see the real timepiece by yourself, you will be more surprised.
